Devlog – New Content Update!

Hey everyone! University just started, but I managed to update Dungeon Devourer again!  with new events and new content. I hope some of you will ceck it out and share your feedback! PLEASEEEE!!!

 The Demo will be available next week!

Images are currently broken on Itch.io. I'll check on them later if they still won't show up.

🏞️ New Content

  • Added new lore entries and discoveries within the dungeon.
  • Expanded combat variety with more abilities, items, and tactical options during battles.
  • Curses and Blessings got finally Implemented.
  • New Enemy Gargoyle with its own Event!
  • Added some new items that are obtainable trough a small secret.



⚔️ Gameplay & Mechanics

  • Adjusted balancing for damage scalinghealing, and item drop rates.
  • Drops do work now and you're even able to learn your enemys skills!
  • Added status effects that can be obtained by potions.
  • Updated the Inventory system for better visibility and looks!

🧩 Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed several logic bugs in enemy targeting and ability triggers.
  • Corrected minor text and grammar issues across multiple scenes.

🔧 Under the Hood

  • Improved overall performance and cleaned up Ren’Py scripts.
  • Updated some backend systems to make future content (new areas, enemies, and mechanics) easier to add.

🧭 Next Steps

  • Continue developing new biomes and encounter events.
  • Improving combat system (adding dot effects, crit, lifesteal)
  • Adding Biome Bosses with crazy rewars
  • Polish the UI and improve battle feedback visuals.
  • Experiment with deeper combat mechanics and lore integration.
  • Currently creating hand-drawn enemy sprites.
  • Adding more sound effects.
