Devlog – New Content Update! and DEMO Release!

Hey everyone! First week of University passed phew! my sleep schedule is broken..., but I managed to update Dungeon Devourer again!  with new events and new content and a new stage Boss! I hope some of you will check it out and share your feedback!

 The Demo is out now!

🏞️ New Content

  • Added new lore entries and discoveries within the dungeon.
  • Expanded combat variety with more abilities, items, and tactical options during battles.
  • Curses and Blessings got finally Implemented.
  • New Enemy Gargoyle, Ghoul, Mass and a new Boss!
  • Added some new items that are obtainable trough a small secret

⚔️ Gameplay & Mechanics

  • Adjusted balancing for damage scalinghealing, and item drop rates.
  • Almost compleatly overhauled the combat system.
  • Drops do work now and you're even able to learn your enemys skills!
  • Added status effects that can be obtained by potions.
  • Updated the Inventory system for better visibility and looks!
  • Skills now work but they need improvement.

🧩 Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed several logic bugs in enemy targeting and ability triggers.
  • Corrected minor text and grammar issues across multiple scenes.
  • Added damage number indicators.

🔧 Under the Hood

  • Improved overall performance and cleaned up Ren’Py scripts.
  • Updated some backend systems to make future content (new areas, enemies, and mechanics) easier to add.

🧭 Next Steps

  • Continue developing new biomes and encounter events.
  • Improving combat system (Better combat handling)
  • Adding Biome Bosses with crazy rewars
  • Polish the UI and improve battle feedback visuals.
  • Currently creating hand-drawn enemy sprites.
  • Adding more sound effects.
  • Android version is already in process!
